2026 FIFA WCQ: Super Eagles Know What’s At Stake – Musa

Date:

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has expressed confidence that the team will win their matches against South Africa and Benin in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

The most capped Nigerian player, who is currently without a club, was left out of Finidi George’s 23-man squad list for the qualifiers.

Speaking ahead of the matches, the 31-year-old stated, “Everyone knows the importance of both games.

“The players understand what’s at stake, and I want them to go all out and win both games. I am upbeat they will do this,” the 2013 AFCON winner told Score Nigeria.

Despite setbacks due to injuries to key players like Victor Osimhen, William Troost-Ekong, and Ola Aina, the three-time African champions aim to claim the maximum six points in their bid to secure a ticket to the 2026 World Cup.
