Chelsea have now made it three wins out of three in the opening games of Manager, Maurizio Sarri, who for the second successive game has left Victor Moses on the bench.
The Italian Manager saw his side fight hard to earn three points against Newcastle United at St James’.
A penalty and an own goal saw the Blues grind out a result; even though they had dominated for the most part of the game.
However, for a second straight game, Moses was an unused substitute, weeks after announcing his international retirement.
The 27-year-old was overlooked by Sarri, as the Nigerian has seemingly fallen down the pecking order in the team.
He has played only 9 minutes this season, appearing only in the final minutes of the first game against Huddersfield.
Chelsea won that game 3-0, also defeated Arsenal 3-2 before Sunday’s 2-1 win away to Newcastle United.
