The management of 36 Lion FC of Lagos on Friday rolled out words of celebration to mark the birthday of their proprietor and chief executive, Alhaji Abdulgafaar Liameed.
Footballive.ng gathered that the festivities were low keyed, but the club’s officials took time out to rain accolades on the philanthropist and youth developer.
Liameed, who has strong blood ties with Benin Republic, is renowned for grooming young talents like Junior Ajayi, who is now with Al-Ahly of Egypt, and Imoh Ezekiel, at Kortjik of Belgium.
He also played a key role in taking scores of young Lagos-based players to United States of America free of charge, and once had 36 Lion FC make waves in the lower cadre of the Nigerian league.
Officials of the club, whose camp is located in Badagry area of Lagos State, took to social media on Friday to celebrate his birthday, with a verdict that he is a special king in the soccer jungle.
The Lagos-based club posted: “From us, Happy Birthday to a visionary & leader, the CEO/President of 36 Lion Football Club. Lion King Hajji Gafar.
