First vice president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Barr Seyi akinwunmi believes Nigeria can get 6 points out of Libya in the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations double header against the Mediterranean Knights on October 13 and 16.
Akinwunmi noted that to be able to beat the Libyans who are currently top of Group E on 4 points, the concentration of the Eagles must be top notch.
The Lagos state FA chairman while speaking to footballlive.ng insists that the Libyans will be no match for the three time African champions. “I believe we are giants in Africa, if anything goes wrong it is not because we are not good enough it is because football can be unpredictable but as far as ability is concerned, I believe we can do this.
Luckily for us, even our away match is an away match for them too. I think we have the home advantage and the neutral ground advantage so I think we should be able to get the maximum three points in both encounters.”
The Libya national team is billed to arrive Nigeria on Friday October 12.
