Fast rising Hamburg star Jonas David has congratulated SC Paderborn of Germany defender Jamilu Collins after been handed an invitation to the Super Eagles squad to face Seychelles in next month’s 2019 Africa cup of nations qualifiers.
Jonas himself is also looking forward to a future invitation from Nigeria after the German-Nigerian opted for the choice of playing for his father land Nigeria ahead of playing for his country of birth Germany.
Tall, Strong and imposing, the defensive midfielder who can also play upfront has waived aside talks of playing for Germany as he is fully focused on playing for Nigeria.
” Jonas is very committed to Nigeria. There are talks about a call up to the German team but he is focused on representing Nigeria. Hopefully he will get his wish”, a member of his representatives Football Transfer Company Labib Rabiu Yarima told footballlive.ng.
18 year old Jonas hit the lime light for his exploit with the Hamburg U19s last season winning the U19 Bundesliga and has already been drafted into the main Hamburg team for the current campaign.
