Odion Ighalo returned to Changchun Yatai with his scoring boots after helping Nigeria to a 3-0 win over Seychelles in the African Nations Cup qualifiers.
Ighalo, who scored a second-half penalty against the minnows in Victoria, was gifted another penalty on Saturday for his Chinese Super League side against Guizhou Zhicheng.
The Nigeria converted the kick to hand his side a first half lead on 36 minutes. Eventually they ran away with a 3-0 victory and Ighalo played the entire duration.
Saturday’s strike brings the Nigeria International’s goal tally in the league this season to 17 from 22 appearances.
