Midfielder Osas Eghe was delighted with Kogi United’s win, describing the victory earned against Niger Tornadoes in the Aiteo Cup round of 32 as being against ‘the best team we have faced so far’.
On Sunday, the Lokoja based side edged their more illustrious opponents 1-0 in Makurdi, thanks to a solitary strike from Ibrahim Enesi.
“Qualifying for the next stage is fantastic. It was one of our goals,” Osas Eghe enthused afterwards to Footballlive.ng.
“The other was to keep a clean sheet. This game has to give us absolute confidence that we are able to beat anyone, we have won against a great team.
“We played a great game against the best team we have faced so far.
