Former Super Eagles defender, Azubuike Egwuekwe could become Nigeria’s insider to leak pivotal information about Libya, the Nigerian team’s next opponents in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, as the towering stopper has signed a deal with a top club in the North African country.
Egwuekwe, who captained Warri Wolves before moving abroad four years ago, could be Nigeria’s insider for useful tips on how to beat The Mediterranean Knights, after signing for Al-Nasr as a free agent – following his release by SuperSport United of South Africa.
Information reaching footballlive.ng reveals that Egwuekwe has already been unveiled alongside fellow-Nigerian player, Nathaniel Joseph, at the club, as Al-Nasr intensify their plans for the CAF Champions League.
Egwuekwe, who was a part of the Eagles’ squad that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, played just 12 league games for SuperSport and scored twice following his move from KuPS of Finland.
Egwuekwe signed two year deal with the Libyan side, who hooked the same duration in hooking Joseph, who played for Lobi Stars of Makurdi before moving abroad.
