Kelechi Iheanacho delivers Strong Message to Leicester City Boss

Date:

On Saturday, Kelechi Iheanacho sent a message to Leicester City Manager, Claude Puel and it was loud and clear – a goal and an assist in the Foxes 3-1 over Huddersfield.

Iheanacho had started only in League games where forward Jamie Vardy was rested or served suspension, until Today.

Claude Puel was on a two game losing streak and had only picked six points from a possible fifteen, he was on the tenterhooks with the noose closing in.

The Frenchman then flipped the script, went outside the box and named Iheanacho in the starting XI, to play as the second striker behind Vardy against the visiting Huddersfield Town.

It paid off as the Nigerian struck in the 19th minute – courtesy an assist from Vardy – to bring Leicester City level after they conceded an early goal.

They say one good turn deserves another, and that was exactly what the former Man City man did, turning provider in the 75th minute for Vardy to give the home side a 3-1 lead.

Two minutes later he was rested, substituted but not after a sterling performance for the Manager to consider worthy of another starting place.
