The Management of Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia has reduced the indefinite suspension slammed on the club’s striker, Ndifreke Effiong to just one month.
Management announced the decision after its meeting at the club’s Secretariat in Umuahia.
In a statement, Management said it took the new stand after the player showed some remorse for his actions which led to the suspension.
The suspension came as a result of the versatile player’s shameful role in the heavy loss to Kwara United in the group stage of the 2018 Aiteo Cup.
Ndifreke was very pivotal to Abia Warriors in the last Nigeria Professional Football League season with breathtaking goals for the team.
