The jersey worn by Super Eagles Captain, John Obi Mikel at the 2018 FIFA World Cup match against Iceland which ended 2-0 in Nigeria’s favor at Volgograd Arena in Russia has been added to the museum of FIFA.
The FIFA explained that the development was needed as the Super Eagles were the first country to defeat Iceland in their first World Cup appearance ever.
The jersey honour is meant to be awarded to the Captain of the team during the world Cup tournament.
Which John Mikel Obi who happened to wear the Captain band all through as the Captain of the national team got the prestigious honour .
