The footballing route to AFCON 2019 for Taifa Stars of Tanzania was cleared by President John Magufuli who donated Sh50 million for the Stars’ preparations of the nations cup.
The President who Stressed on the fact that Tanzanians need victory in the coming matches to change their 38 years long time absence in the African Cup of Nations.
President Magufuli called upon the players to fight hard for their nation in the international soccer stakes and finally also wished them well in their forth coming match against Lesotho next week.
Meanwhile, Taifa Stars have moved up four positions in the latest FIFA rankings released by the World football governing body FIFA to settle in 136 position.
