Super Eagles technical dviser, Gerrnot Rohr has opted to keep close to his chest plans for Saturday’s game with South Africa, as footballlive.ng gathered that the Franco-German soccer tactician wants most of his team’s training sessions in Asaba to be in secret.
With the Eagles’ players returning to camp in Asaba on Monday, to commence preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier away in Johannesburg, Rohr has fixed only one public session for the squad.
Rohr has stated all along that he cannot afford to toy with Saturday’s match, from which he is eyeing at least a draw, but would prefer victory, considering that his side lost 2-0 at home to the same opponents during the first leg last June.
The former Niger Republic, Burkina Faso, Gabon and Bordeaux handler now wants to take his efforts beyond words and rhetoric, as he wants to outline a tight tactical approach that would stun Bafana Bafana at their ancestral ground, FNB Stadium, Johannesburg.
This much was confirmed via an official post, which showed that the Eagles’ training will be behind closed doors, aside Wednesday’s session that will be open to the media.
Incidentally, the media will not have the opportunity of their regular parley with the players before the Eagles travel to Johannesburg on Thursday, as the press conference will hold only ahead of next week’s international friendly against Uganda.
The post read: “Ahead of our #2019AFCONQ vs @BafanaBafana. Our camp opens in Asaba Monday.
“Only the training session of Wednesday, November 14, 2018 is open, other sessions will be closed.
“Our press parley holds next Monday, November 19, ahead of the international friendly vs Uganda.”
