The vice chairman of the Nigeria Women Football League and chief coordinator of the Nigeria Women’s Pro-League Play-Off, Rt. Hon. Margaret Icheen, has congratulated the two teams that gained promotion to the Nigeria Women Premier League, Invisible Angels FC and Dream Stars Ladies.
Icheen noted that, the two teams distinguished themselves as winners of the Abuja and Benin centres respectively.
“The two team worked very hard right from their first games and showed determination that they wanted to move to the next level in the Nigerian Women’s league football.”
Icheen, who is also the chairperson of the Benue State Football Association, expressed her optimism that the two promoted teams will challenge favourably in the Premier League when the new season begins next year.
She was full of commendations for all the teams that played in the Pro-League Playoff, as they comported themselves as disciplined teams, “none of them showed any form of indiscipline and the supporters were very peaceful during and after their matches.”
