Falkenbergs of Sweden have stated satisfaction with a contract extension they have been able to hook with once promising Nigerian midfielder, Dominic Chatto.
Footballlive.ng reports that the newly promoted top-flight club’s sports director, Hakan Nilsson said it is a promising deal, because they know what Chatto can do.
Although he admits that the 33-year-old player has been riddle with injuries of recent, Nilsson believes he only needs support to overcome his troubles and settle down to play.
Chatto added that he is equally elated with the deal, as he believes the club, which were campaigning last season in the lower division, will offer him the right atmosphere and opportunities to play without pressure.
The new agreement with Falkenbergs will keep him at the club until the summer of 2019 after inking a six-month contract, and Chatto is staying hopeful for better things to come.
Such is his optimism, after a knee injury curtailed his appearances last season to just two games as a substitute against Norrby and Värnamo, but the former Inter Turku, BK Häcken, Bodø/Glimt and Ordabasy star is happy with the support he has already gained from Nilsson.
Nilsson added: ”’We know what a fresh Dominic Chatto can contribute.
“He is injured, but has not given up hope of coming back. He was a major reason for turning the trend after the first five games last year.”
