Lobi Stars defender Ebube Duru says negative reviews after their first-leg defeat to Gor Mahia spurred the team to victory in the reverse fixture and helped them seal qualification for the Champions League group stage.
The NPFL winners defeated Kenyan Champions Gor Mahia 2-0 in the second-leg to advance on away goals after a 3-3 aggregate result over two legs.
Speaking with footballlive.ng Duru said the players was determined to also defend the club and Country’s honor, and were highly motivated to avoid elimination.
The draw for the group stage of the tournament will hold on December 28.
