Eyoma Happy With Spurs’ Senior Team Debut

Date:

Tottenham Hotspur youngster, Timothy Eyoma has stated delight with his senior debut for The Lilywhites and believes it is the beginning of busier days ahead of him with the London club.

Footballlive.ng reports that the Nigerian-born England youth international got his professional debut for Tottenham versus Tranmere Rovers in the English FA Cup on Friday.

Eyoma made history after replacing Dávinson Sánchez in the 79th minute and helped Spurs romp to a wide margin win in the third round fixture.

Before Friday’s game, Eyoma was an unused substitute against Burnley in the English Premier League and West Ham United in the Carabao League Cup.

The fast-growing central defender, aged 18 years, 11 months and 6 days, was part of England’s team that won the 2017 FIFA U17 World Cup.

He becomes the third youngest player of Nigeria descent to debut for Spurs in the new millennium, behind Josh Onomah (17 years, 8 months and 18 days) and Jonathan Obika (18 years, 2 months and 15 days).
