Eyoma Stays With QPR’s Reserves Squad

Date:

Arsenal youngster, Aaron Eyoma will have to continue making waves in the reserves team of Queens Park Rangers, for him to convince the fellow-London-based club to do a deal for him at the end of the season.

This is due to reports that QPR are still interested in the youngster, but want to watch him at close quarters before taking a final decision on a contract with the lad, who Arsenal’s under-23 team gaffer, Steve Gattin has snubbed.

The Gunners submitted Eyoma’s name to the Premier League at the end of the January transfer window, but it appears he is not in the plans of Gatting, with the club permitting him to train with their London neighbours.

The Hale End Academy product went the distance as Queens Park Rangers were beaten 3-2 by Cardiff City in the Professional Development League.

The 20-year-old, whose brother, Timothy, plays for Tottenham Hotspur U23s and helped England win the 2017 FIFA U17 World Cup, was monitored by Paul Hall, manager of QPR reserve team, in their 3-2 loss to Colchester United last month.

Eyoma spent the second half of last season on loan with FC Volendam and made eight appearances for their U21 team in the Derde Divisie Saturday, scoring one goal.
