Deportivo La Coruna back-up goalkeeper, Francis Odinaka Uzoho will now look up to former midfield dazzler, Clarence Seedorf for a resurgence of his career with the club, following the Dutch legend’s appointment as new coach for the team.
A change in coaches for the Liga outfit saw Uzoho’s demotion in the middle of last year, but the youngster continues waxing strong with La Coruna’s reserves in the Spanish third-tier league.
Uzoho will now bank on his exploits at the lower level, and prospects of making it to the World Cup with Nigeria, to convince Seedorf that he deserves to be Deportivo’s number one shot stopper.
Uzoho will surely feel well placed for a return to the first team, after Seedorf, as former AC Milan player and manager, on Monday replaced the man who demoted the youngster, Cristobal Parralo.
Seedorf steps in, after Parralo was sacked a few days back, with Deportivo in relegation zone, on 18th spot on 17 points.
Deportivo stated that Clarence Clyde Seedorf (born Paramaribo, Suriname, April 1, 1976) has become their coach for the remainder of the season, and was officially presented in the press room of Abanca-Riazor Stadium.
