Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has showered commendations on the Super Falcons for the team’s performance despite their exit from the ongoing 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The Super Falcons were eliminated from the competition following a 4-2 penalty shootout defeat against European champions, England, on Monday.

Despite the heartbreaking loss, Randy Waldrum’s squad showcased remarkable prowess and dominance during the match, outplaying their opponents on various fronts.

Although Nigeria didn’t make it to the quarter-finals, Peseiro praised the side’s resilience, determination, and skill demonstrated.

“What an extraordinary World Cup, you showed the world that Nigeria is here!,” Peseiro wrote on his Twitter handle.

“Keep your chins up, Super Falcons… You did your country proud. Congratulations and keep up the good work,” he added.
