Former Nigerian international, Duke Udi has reacted to the reports regarding the blue card rule coming into football. Udi said that he found it quite comical when he heard about it.
He stated that soccer is a unique sport and should not be tampered with. Udi also said that changing the rules would make it boring and it would no longer be soccer then.
Udi in his exact words said:
“When i heard it, i just laughed. I know other ex players would also feel the same. Football is a unique sport, it’s not like basketball or volleyball. What is that ?”.
“They shouldn’t bring more new thing to spoil the sport, it will make the sport boring. Soccer is a very unique sport. They should just leave it the way it is, nothing to add or subtract”.
“That is not football, that’s something else. They should let it be the way it is. No more new implementation of anything”.
