Rivers United midfielder Alex Oyowah has emphasized the significance of maintaining their push for a top-three finish in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Currently positioned 14th on the table with 31 points, the Pride of Rivers have three outstanding games yet to be played, providing an opportunity to climb up the standings.
Oyowah believes that consistency will be key in putting pressure on teams at the top, potentially capitalizing on any slip-ups by their rivals.
“Increasing the pressure on other teams gives us hope that they might have an unlucky game or drop points somewhere,” Oyowah expressed in an interview with Lodgexpress.
He stressed the importance of focusing on their own matches and taking advantage of their outstanding fixtures to bolster their position in the league.
“We concentrate on our games, we go game-by-game and we have to win all of them to give ourselves a chance,” he added.
