Mary Lucky, a forward for Heartland Queens, has expressed determination for her team to clinch the top position in Group A of the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL).
Following a decisive 1-0 victory over Nasarawa Amazons, the Owerri Angels surged to the summit of the NWFL Group A table.
Lucky exuded confidence in her team’s ability to challenge for the league title, stating, “We have come to stay on top of the log till we see off the season.”
She further emphasized their ambition by affirming, “Super Six spot is 100% certain.” Heartland Queens will next face Abia Angels in their upcoming league fixture, aiming to maintain their momentum towards securing a coveted spot in the Super Six.
