The Bauchi State government has officially appointed Auwal Musa Gotel as the Chairman of Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Wikki Tourists.
Gotel, who previously served in an interim capacity, will now oversee the affairs of the Bauchi Elephants in a permanent capacity.
Alongside Gotel, other members of the newly appointed management committee include Umar Saidu, Dauda M. Chiroma, Lawal Garba Dass, Sadiq Yusuf, and Alhassan I. Muhammed, with Sa’adu Chadi appointed as the secretary.
Governor Bala Muhammed Abdulkadir Gidado confirmed the appointments, emphasizing that they were made based on merit.
Currently, Wikki Tourists are striving to qualify for the NNL playoffs, occupying the second position on the NNL table with 23 points.
