The loss saw Remo Stars drop to third in the NPFL standings, dealing a blow to their aspirations for a first league title under coach Daniel Ogunmodede.
Kwara United surged ahead with goals from Wasiu Alalade, Isaiah Ejeh, and an own goal by Ahmed Akinyele. Remo Stars fought back valiantly with late goals from Franck Mawuena and Dayo Ojo, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the early deficit.
