Sunshine Queens aim to defeat Honey Badgers and advance in the 2024 Women’s President Federation Cup.
Assistant coach, Shola Oyewusi is confident about the team’s chances in the Round of 16 match, set to take place at the Enyimba International Stadium on Wednesday.
“We have the squad that can do it; this is the FA Cup and anything can happen,” Oyewusi told the media.
“On our part as coaches, we will try our best to motivate the ladies in accordance with the philosophy of the head coach, Rafiu Oseni, to enable us to come out victorious in tomorrow’s game.”
The Owena Whales will face a tough challenge against Honey Badgers. However, Oyewusi is confident in her players’ abilities to secure a win.
“We have a strong team, and we believe we can achieve a favorable result,” she stated.
Sunshine Queens and Honey Badgers have met twice during the recently concluded Nigeria Women Football League season, with Sunshine Queens recording one win and a draw against the Makurdi-based club.
