The Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) will have two new teams next season as Ikorodu City and Beyond Limits have been promoted after the NNL Super 8 playoff.
The Oga Boys secured their place in the NPFL with a 2-0 win over Madiba, thanks to two goals from Toyeeb.
This is a big achievement for Ikorodu City, who were almost relegated from the NNL just two years ago.
Beyond Limits also earned their spot in the NPFL, led by Nigeria U20 star Kparobo Arierhi.
Kparobo scored three goals during the playoffs, including the winning goal against Inter Lagos. This promotion is historic for Beyond Limits, as it is their first attempt to reach the Nigerian Premier League.
Joining them in promotion are Nasarawa United and El-Kanemi Warriors, experienced teams who secured their spots from the Northern zone.
