Premier League Announces Fixture Schedule for 2024-25 Season

The Premier League unveiled its fixture schedule for the 2024-25 season, with defending champions Manchester City set to begin their title defence against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on August 18. This match will mark the debut of Enzo Maresca as Chelsea’s manager.

The highly anticipated first clash between last season’s top two teams, Manchester City and Arsenal, will occur on September 21 at the Etihad Stadium, with the return fixture at the Emirates Stadium on February 1.

Opening Weekend Fixtures:

    • Manchester United vs. Fulham (20:00)
  • August 17
    • Ipswich vs. Liverpool (12:30)
    • Arsenal vs. Wolves (15:00)
    • Everton vs. Brighton (15:00)
    • Newcastle vs. Southampton (15:00)
    • Nottingham Forest vs. Bournemouth (15:00)
    • West Ham vs. Aston Villa (17:30)
  • August 18
    • Brentford vs. Crystal Palace (14:00)
    • Chelsea vs. Manchester City (16:30)
  • August 19
    • Leicester vs. Tottenham (20:00)

Manchester United will face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on December 14 and at Old Trafford on April 5. United will also play Liverpool at Anfield on January 4, after hosting them on August 31 in the third game of the season.

Liverpool’s new manager, Arne Slot, will begin his tenure with an away game against Ipswich Town at Portman Road on August 17. This marks Ipswich’s return to the Premier League since their relegation in 2002. Ipswich’s first away game will be against Manchester City at the Etihad on August 24.

Promoted teams Leicester City and Southampton will start their seasons with Leicester hosting Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton traveling to Newcastle United.

Manchester City, under Pep Guardiola, are aiming for an unprecedented fifth consecutive Premier League title, having won the league in six of the past seven seasons. Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will be striving for their first title since the “Invincibles” season of 2003-04.
