The Super Eagles are set to fly out to London on Wednesday aboard a chartered flight, to keep a date with The Three Lions of England in an international friendly on Saturday.
The clash against England, which will be the third time both sides will tango, is already drawing wild coverage and previews, ahead of Saturday’s kick-off at The Home of Football, Wembley Stadium.
The 2013 African Champions played a 1-1 draw with DR Congo in Monday’s pre-World Cup friendly game left Port Harcourt on Tuesday morning for Abuja, where they were billed to be hosted by President Muhammadu Buhari at pm same day.
After spending the night in the Federal Capital Territory, following their send forth dinner with Buhari, the Eagles will fly out to England early Wednesday.
The Eagles are seeking Nigeria’s first win against England after losing 1-0 in 1995 and playing a 0-0 draw with the Three Lions at the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Korea and Japan.
Nigeria will also play Czech Republic on June 8 before their first Group D game at the World Cup against Croatia on June 16 in Kaliningrad, Russia.
The will face Iceland on June 22 in Volgograd before confronting Argentina for their last group match in Saint Petersburg on June 26.
