Eagles’ Camp Flooded With Native Attire For Russia Trip

Date:

The Super Eagles’ pre-World Cup camp in Austria has been flooded by a large consignment of native attires from Nigeria, in readiness for the team’s trip to Russia next week for participation at the 2018 Mundial.

Reports out of the team’s base at Avita Resort indicate that, though the traditional wears had initially been billed for their farewell visit to President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja, the materials have now eventually landed in Austria.

Consequently, all the 23 players, coaches and backroom staff will wear complete sets of native attires when they leave Avita Resort in Bad Tatzmannsdorf, Austria for Russia on Monday, June 11.

A camp source disclosed: “The traditional dresses were initially meant for May 30 when President Muhammad Buhari hosted the team at Aso Rock before they left for London.

“The team had to wear their Nike shirts and tracksuits because the tailors were unable to meet the deadline for the presidential visit.

“The idea to appear in traditional Nigerian attires will no doubt make the team look unique since most teams coming to Russia may likely appear in suits.”
