Rangers head coach Philippe Clement has lauded Cyriel Kolawole Dessers for his exceptional performance in their 6-0 win over Ross County.
Dessers scored a brace and was substituted in the 66th minute, bringing his total to five goals in all competitions for Rangers this season.
After the game, Clement praised Dessers’ growth and hard work, noting the forward’s improved performance.
“I am very glad about that with, for example the two goals of Cyriel [Dessers], I think it is a big difference from six months ago the way he runs now, how he finds the spaces.
It is difficult to take two players out to give credit towards that because they’re a lot of players making a good evolution in the last couple of months and we need to continue in that way and keep this hunger and desire to become better.
Cyriel deserves it, he is doing a very good job. This is the best Cyriel that I have seen in his career.
He is not 20 years old anymore, but he stays hungry to learn all the details, and you see in several details he is becoming better and better by doing it and by watching the videos and talking about it,” Clement said, as reported by Rangers’ official website..
Dessers will be hopeful that his stellar performance earns him his first competitive start for the Super Eagles in their upcoming matches against Rwanda and Benin.
