Amkar Perm of Russia striker, Aaron Samuel has hit the ground running at the club he officially joined on Saturday, as the lad on loan from CSKA Moscow of Russia netted a goal on his debut with his new team.
In spite of several boasts that the arrival of fellow–Nigerian attacker, Ahmed Musa would not force him out of CSKA, Samuel eventually left The Armymen on loan at the weekend, but he wasted no time in making his mark at his new base in the same country.
It came in a friendly, as Samuel got off the bench to score in his very first game for the club in their 3-0 win over FK Budućnost Podgorica of Montenegro.
Samuel put his team two goals up with his first meaningful shot at goal, and will be hoping to sustain the momentum in their subsequent ties, till the resumption of the league in Russia.
Since moving to Russia from Guangzhou R&F of China, Samuel has struggled to justify the trust imposed in him by CSKA, which led to his signing despite injury ending his initial loan spell.
