Abu Azeez addresses discrimination

Date:

Abu Azeez is a name synonymous with beach soccer in Nigeria, but that fame also comes with its curse but the iconic footballer doesn’t seem to bother.

Azeez reached a landmark 100 goals in Beach soccer at the recently concluded CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations in the semi-final against hosts Egypt.

However, the footballer who has played for several NPFL sides including Enyimba, 3SC, Warri Wolves and more recently Rangers Int’l told footballlive.ng that he has paid his dues.

‘I know a lot of people don’t reckon with me as a regular footballer, but also those who know me know I have given the game a lot. I have played for Enyimba, Shooting Stars and Enugu Rangers these aren’t small teams in the Country.

‘I’m also glad that as a beach soccer player that I have achieved soo much; I’m not just a journey man without a thing to show for it,’ said Abu.
