Elkanemi Warriors should brace up for the new season without goalkeeper Adamu Abubakar who has already signed for Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Wikki Tourists, reports Footballlive.ng.
Sources yesterday said that the goalkeeper, has signed for one year as he continues his development on the domestic scene.
The shot stopper attracted interests from many scouts at the 2017/18 NPFL campaign where he produced some crucial saves despite the poor run by the Desert Warriors.
The goalkeeper has been at the centre of discussion in Elkanemi Warriors circles following his decision not to attend pre season training.
“Adamu Abubakar is now our player now, we’ve agreed on everything and he is with the team ahead of the new season,” a top official of Wikki Tourists told Footballlive.ng.
The Flying Eagles invitee has previously featured for Shooting Stars in his career.
