High hopes held by Scunthorpe United striker, Hakeeb Adelakun to seal a deal with Bristol City have failed to materialise, following his club’s decision to keep him for next season.
The report out of England reveals that Bristol City have had an offer of compensation to sign Adelakun rejected by Scunthorpe.
The 22-year-old is out of contract at Glanford Park, but The Iron are due remuneration for his transfer, having signed him as a 16-year-old in 2012.
Adelakun has also been of summer transfer interest from Hull City and Nottingham Forest in the English Championship, as well as with newly-promoted Blackburn Rovers.
