‘We’re Hungry for More!’ – Ademola Lookman After 3-2 Loss to Real Madrid

Atalanta forward, Ademola Lookman has reflected on his team’s performance after a tough 2-1 loss to European giants Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League, stating there are still many positives to take from the match.

The Super Eagles star, a contender for the CAF African Footballer of the Year, highlighted the quality of the opposition, praising Madrid’s clinical finishing but also pointing out Atalanta’s strong response after going behind.

“We played a good game. There’s a lot of positives to take from the game. We played against Real Madrid, a top team, so in their moments they were top.”

”They might have scored three goals, but we had a good reaction after that, and maybe on another night we could have got a draw,” Lookman said.

Despite the loss, the Super Eagles forward is optimistic about his team’s prospects in the competition and their continued growth.

He announced that the team will not let the setback affect their confidence.

“Since football, the most important thing is that it was positive in our play.”

“The occasion didn’t really get the better of us, that’s positive as well, so we’ll continue to improve.”

“Every game we go into with the mindset and mentality that we’re hungry,” Lookman added.

Atalanta will now shift focus to their Serie A campaign, with Lookman expressing confidence in the team’s ability to bounce back.

“I think that’s our mentality over the past couple of months as well. We’ve been able to win a run of games.”

”And obviously, we lost, but I don’t think that’s going to hurt our confidence in the sense where we’d be down.”

”Another game on Saturday, and we’ll look to win that,” he concluded.

Atalanta’s next challenge comes this weekend in Serie A, where Ademola Lookman and his teammates will look to carry their positive mindset into their domestic league fixtures.
