Despite not finding the net so far in the CAF Champions League, striker Sunday Adetunji is delighted with his team’s campaign in the money spinning competition.
The Pride of Benue have picked three points from two games, in a group that comprises of Mamelodi Sundowns, ASEC Mimosas and Wydad Casablanca.
And even though he hasn’t bagged himself, the goal poacher is pleased with the opening matches.
“So far I have not scored a goal, but I feel good,” he told Footballlive.ng. “The first thing is the team.
“We have three points at this point, so we have to gun for more.
“I would like to be at my best, and that means scoring goals. But other people are scoring at the moment, which is good.
“We have illusions of fighting for higher places, but we have to go step by step and qualify for the quarter finals.”
