Akwa United chairman and football stakeholder Paul Bassey has stated that the games against Libya shouldn’t be taken with levity.
The Super Eagles will face the Mediterranean Knights in the matchday 3 and 4 of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifiers in October.
“I belief that the NFF understand what it takes to ensure that everything is put in place,” the veteran journalist and administrator began.
“We mustn’t underrate Libya for they have done well to have picked four points in two games. I think they will come out in full force against the Super Eagles.”
Paul Bassey said that preparation should already be on ground to make the two games successful for the Eagles.
“Preparation should be well planned for a perfect and successful outing over the two legs.”
He added that the NFF is aware of the importance first two games to Nigerians knowing that a win against the Libyans will make the return leg even easier.
