AFCON qualifiers: Eagles first choice goalkeeper, Uzoho’s quality in doubt- Former Sports Minister

Date:

A head of the AFCON qualifiers double header between Nigeria and Libya, Former Sports Minister, Bala Bawa Kao’je has expressed doubt over the quality of Super Eagles first choice goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho to be the man to man the goal for the national team.

Speaking with Footballlive.ng, Kaoje said he is still not convinced of the Elche shot stopper’s abilities as he is yet to put in fantastic performances in the national colours.

He however advised the Eagles to take the game seriously especially the first leg here in Nigeria, as North Africans are known for their technical qualities as well as theatrics when they play both at home and away from home.

Saying that a victory over the Libyans would put Nigeria in a strong position in the group as well as boost their confidence.
