William Agada scored once again for Sporting Kansas City as they fought back for a point against St. Louis City in their latest MLS game at the Children’s Mercy Park.
Iceland forward, Nökkvi Þeyr Þórisson opened the scoring for the visitors in the 42nd minute. The 24-year-old scoring courtesy of a John David Klein III assist to register his third goal of the season.
Kansas had 8 goal attempts in the first half, but they could not make anyone stick, as they went into the interval a goal down.
The second half was the same scenario as Kansas created even more chances, and had more possession all in a bid to get themselves back on level terms. The breakthrough came in the 73rd minute as Agada was in place to convert Alan Pulido’s assist. Agada’s goal was his fifth goal in his last 5 games for the side.
Agada has now registered 9 goals and 2 assists in his 25 appearances (15 starts) this campaign, and will be hoping for more as the season unravels.
The draw leaves Kansas City in 12th position in the western conference, with 24 points gained from 26 games this campaign, as they prepare to take on Chicago Fire next.
