Ahmed Musa could be Gernot Rohr’s secret weapon against Libya when Nigeria hosts the Mediterranean Knights in the Africa Cup of Nations 2019 qualifying match on October 12.
Nigeria and Libya face-off in a Group E double-header this month and with Musa scoring goals at Al Nassr FC, with gay abandon, the winger could prove to be crucial for the Eagles.
Musa scored his fourth league goal in the Pro League on Friday night as Al Nassr routed Al Hazm 5-1; and the Nigerian opened the floodgate with a 27th minute goal poacher’s delight.
Well done mates.Happy to get a goal ???? let keep the hard work going???????????????????? @AlNassrFC @AlNassrFC_EN pic.twitter.com/NVkuJXrH03

He has shown some consistency in front of goal in recent times, scoring 7 goals in his last 10 competitive games for both club and country.
The Winger’s form comes as good news for Rohr, who is hoping for four points from the two-legged fixtures against the group E leaders.
Rohr understands his team needs to win in Uyo, but importantly also, they need to score goals, and a bag-full of it to hand his team some goals difference advantage in the three horse race that could come to a tie-break.
