Ahmed musa Set To Captain Super Eagles Against Pirates

Date:

Al Nassr SC wing wizard is set to lead the Super Eagles of Nigeria out on Saturday against the Pirates of Seychelles in the second match of the 2019 AFCON qualifiers.

The experience would not be new to the former Kano Pillars man who in the past when Sunday Oliseh was Technical Adviser had captained the Super Eagles albeit for only a short time before it was relinquished to John Mikel Obi.

Ahmed Musa leading the team Saturday leaves doubt about Ogenyi Onazi’s chances of starting against the East Africans despite his impressive form in the Turkish Super Lig.

The former CSKA Moscow man with four goals in the FIFA World Cup is currently Nigeria’s top scorer in the competition and a load of expectation would be on him from Nigerian to deliver as he captains the team against the Pirates of Seychelles in Victoria, Seychelles later on Saturday.
