Torino of Italy defender, Ola Aina has thanked the Serie A club’s crew for helping him add some technical improvements to his game, within such a short time of his arrival on loan from Chelsea.
Footballlive.ng reports that Aina is yet to complete a single season with Torino, as he only joined the Turin-based side in the summer, but the dark-skinned full back continues making waves with the team.
Such it was that Aina was again on top of his game at the weekend, as he posted yet another man of the match performance, after which he disclosed that it is basically because he has been able to settle fast and learn at the former club of Joel Cukwuma Obi, Angelo Obinze Ogbonna and Nnamdi Oduamadi.
Following his efforts in Torino’s 4-1 trouncing of Sampdoria on Saturday, Aina said he is happy with the giant strides he is making in Italy, as he recounts how he was playing in the English second-tier league, with Hull City, about this time last season.
Aina, who has already started seven of Torino’s matches and got his first assist for the side last week, said he is happy that he is adapting so quickly to life in Italy.
The 22-year-old versatile full back retorted: “It has been very good so far and I’m loving it.
“I’ve been enjoying every game I’ve been involved in. It is really helping me tactically.
“In every game and training session, I am learning something new, and I’m just trying to implement that in my game.
“The football here is very tactical. You have to concentrate a lot. They spend a lot of time on set-pieces and getting the right movement.
“That is what I would say is really different to England. I think I’m learning a lot tactically.
“It’s definitely a higher level than the Championship. The pace of the games varies.
“Sometimes they are slow, sometimes you play against teams like Napoli and it’s very quick.
