Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Dele Aiyenugba has tipped Hapoel Iksal to continue their good run in the Israeli Leumit League, reports Footballlive.ng.
The team lost their first six games in the second tier division, making pundits ask questions on the club’s ability to compete in the league.
A silver lining in the last two games has given fans of the club hope with four points conjured in the process.
Aiyenugba believes his team can continue their good form against Sektzia Nes Tziona on Friday.
“We didn’t start the season very well. Losing the first six games was hellish for us,” the former Enyimba goalie recalled in a chat with Footballlive.ng.
“The bad patch is in the past. We have looked good in the last two games and picked four points. We can still earn more points on board.”
Hapoel Iksal host Sektzia Nes Tziona on Friday at 2pm and Aiyenugba has declared that a win is non negotiable.
“I don’t see anything stopping us from winning on Friday. Victory is non negotiable, not because we are underrating the opposition but based on the fact that we have the capacity to win.”
