Ajibade joins Avaldsnes on two year contract

Date:

Norwegian Toppserien outfit Avaldsnes have signed Nigerian teenage prodigy Rasheedat Ajibade on a two-year contract, the club announced today.

She will join Avaldsnes pending receipt of her International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and P-1 Visa.

Ajibade was acquired by the former league champions using Targeted Allocation Money (TAM) and will occupy an International roster spot.

She becomes the second African player at the club as Cameroonian attacker Gaelle Enganamouit is on the books of the team.

Ajibade is a young and talented forward who has already played over 40 first division matches at just 19 years old and has represented her country at important international competitions.

The club is confident that she has the quality as a player and the mentality as a professional to grow and develop at the Scandinavian region.

She is a very promising forward. Even though she is young, he has already represented Nigeria at the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON).

The FC Robo Queens skipper is excited to come and accept the new challenge of playing for Avaldsnes and competing in Norway.

She has represented the Nigeria national team at several age levels, playing for the Under-17 and Under-20 before earning her first cap with the Nigerian Senior National Team at the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations.

With the addition of Ajibade, Avaldsnes now have 22 players under contract for the 2019 season and eight players who occupy International roster spots.
