Arsenal’s underachieving attacker, Chuba Akpom is set to become the next Nigerian player after Ifeanyi Udeze to play for PAOK Saloniki of Greece, following an agreement between The Gunners and the Greek side.
Though Akpom had been hoping on getting a full contract switch to Saint-Truiden of Belgium, where had a successful spell last season on loan from Arsenal, he will now head out to Thessaloniki instead.
This is sequel to confirmation that Arsenal have accepted an £890,000 (€1m) offer from PAOK to sell the striker this summer.
Akpom, who made just 12 first-team appearances for Arsenal, having made his debut in 2013, will now follow Jack Wilshere out of Emirates Stadium this summer.
However, in their agreement with PAOK, Arsenal insisted on a sell-on clause in Akpom’s transfer deal, meaning The Gunners could earn a neat cut from any future sale for him.
