Akwa United, Rangers Clash In Federation Cup Q/F

Federation Cup defending champions, Akwa United of Uyo will tango former traditional winners, Rangers International of Enugu in one of this year’s quarter-final matches at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, footballlive.ng can report.

The Promise Keepers will face The Flying Antelopes in one of the key matches of this year’s competition, while CAF Confederation Cup semi-finalists, Enyimba of Aba are drawn against former Nigerian back-to-back league champions, Kano Pillars.

Other fixtures in the race for semi-final tickets in the 2018 Aiteo Cup are Kwara United of Ilorin versus Katsina United in Lagos and Nasarawa United of Lafia against El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri in Aba.

The matches will hold on Wednesday, October 3 and Thursday, October 4, but that between Enyimba and Pillars has been postponed due to the engagement of The People’s Elephant in the continental terrain.

In the women’s fixtures, Rivers Angelsof Port Harcourt face Sunshine Queens of Akure in Lafia, Ibom Angels of Uyo play Delta Queens of Asaba in Enugu, Bayelsa Queens of Yenagoa battle Osun Babes of Oshogbo in Ijebu Ode and Edo Queens of Benin City will take on Confluence Queens of Lokoja in Calabar.
