Midfielder Christopher Lolo says that Akwa United are determined to pick up their fourth win in the 2018/19 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season against FC Ifeanyi Ubah today.
The Promise Keepers host the Anambra Warriors in Wednesday afternoon’s Week 10 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
“The most important thing is the match on Wednesday. We have secured three wins, we want a fourth one,” Lolo declared to Footballlive.ng.
“We understand that this is very tough in this League, but we also know that if we win on Wednesday then we will take a further step forward and we are just thinking about that.
“Opponents FC Ifeanyi Ubah? They are tough. We will have to get it right, be better than the other day, and closer to the best version of what we are so as to win.
“We have to make things right, FC Ifeanyi Ubah will tighten things up, but we have to be protagonists, try to get the ball, open up the field and look for a spark in attack, do what we know.
“If the opponent counters, then it can cause us problems, so we will have to look out for that and it will be difficult.”
