New arrival in China, Omatsone ‘Sone’ Aluko is set to see his transfer fee shoot up from £7.5m in the coming hours, as Beijing Renhe of China have agreed to pay Reading of England in full for the star’s switch.
In contrast with initial fears that the Chinese Super League side would balk on Aluko’s fee, footballlive.ng gathered that everything appears on course for his switch.
Latest information out of The Oriental Nation indicate that Aluko, who has played for four clubs in England and two in Scotland, is set for another big payday at age 30.
Aluko has endured a difficult time at Madejski Stadium, with just four goals from 58 appearances in the English Championship since arriving from Fulham in 2017.
The underachieving former Super Eagles winger is set to complete a deal at Renhe, who had confirmed that they afre keen to push through the transfer this weekend.
Aluko is already in China to finalise the switch ahead of Renhe’s first fixture of the season of the Chinese Super League next month.
Aluko joins Tyias Browning in making a surprise transfer to China, after the Everton defender linked up with Guangzhou Evergrande this week.
