Genk striker Mbwana Samatta and 24 other players have been called up for Tanzania’s 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifying match against Uganda on the 8th September in the new coach Emmanuel Amuneke’s first selection.
Earlier this month, the former Nigeria winger penned a two year contract with Tanzanian Football Federation to coach the Tanzanian National Team known as the Taifa Stars of Tanzania .
And for his first game in charge, the ex-Zamalek player has invited 25 players for their crucial away tie against the Cranes.
He hopes to navigate his side to their first win in the qualifiers having played out a 1-1 stalemate with Lesotho in their opening game to place third in Group L.
This will be the first litmus test for former Africa footballer of the year .
Amuneke will lead his boys for an away tie against Ugandan come September 7th 2018.
